Isabel Bennett

Isabel Bennett

Archaeologist Isabel Bennett has been living and working on the Dingle Peninsula for over 30 years. Though not originally from the area, she married a local man whose extended family includes many Ferriters. Isabel came to the area originally to work on an archaeological survey of the peninsula, and still gets great pleasure from visiting the many wonderful sites in the area, and particularly when in the company of visitors seeing the places for the first time. Isabel is curator of a small, local museum in Ballyferriter village, and also works as an editor of archaeological publications, including, until recently, the Journal of the Kerry Archaeological and Historical Society. Having been made very welcome when joining in some of the events of the Ferriter Family Gathering when it last came to the Dingle Peninsula, Isabel is delighted to play a part in the event this time around.
